Salisbury Rugby to Return

Salisbury Rugby Club have a date of rugby potentially returning to the Hudsons Field ground. The English Rugby Football Union have published a schedule of fixtures for the start of the 2020/21 season, with smaller division sizes based on geographic location.

There is a long road ahead for the competitive community rugby to resume however, with rugby only at the second stage of a six stage plan which would eventually see a return to matches.

Clubs are currently limited to small group training sessions of up to 6 participants and no contact.

While there is no official date for when community competitions will restart, the RFU announced league conferences and fixtures for the Adult Male (English Club Championship Level 3 to 12) for the 2020-21 season.

Most leagues have been split in two based on geography, the others elected not to be split. The season has been divided into three windows. In the first window, clubs will play each team in their group, home and away. Provisional dates have been allocated to these games. If rugby has not started by these dates, each week will be automatically moved to the end of the first window.

Salisbury will compete in the South West Southern Cities S group and their potential opening fixture is on 26th September 2020 at home to Wimborne. Follow the links below to see the full fixture schedule:
