Park Mural Help Requested

Salisbury City Council’s Communities Team need the help of residents of Salisbury to create two fantastic new murals in Churchill Gardens and Victoria Park.

The murals will have two separate themes; one being river/insects and the other in the theme of woodland. In order to do this, we need you to send in your drawings around each theme. An artist will then bring aspects of all the masterpieces together to create the murals for our city’s parks.

Here are some details of what we are looking for:

MURAL 1. Churchill Gardens – RIVER/INSECT –
Make a drawing on A4 sized paper to include in the Churchill Gardens’ mural. Draw a bird, insect or animal, flower or plant that you might see on a walk along the river in Salisbury. Draw your picture, nice and big, try and fill the paper and draw with a dark outline in pen or pencil and colour however you like: with pens, pencils, crayons or paint.

MURAL 2. Victoria Park – WOODLAND –
Make a drawing on A4 sized paper to include in the Victoria Park’s mural. Draw birds, creatures, animals, or plants that you might see on a woodland walk around Salisbury. Draw your picture, nice and big, try and fill the paper and draw with a dark outline in pen or pencil and colour however you like: with pens, pencils, crayons or paint.

Please post your designs to Salisbury Information Centre in Fish Row or send us a photo of your masterpiece via our bhc@salisburycitycouncil address. Deadline for entries will be Sunday 16th August.
