A group of regulars at the Winchester Gate Pub in Salisbury have decided to ride to the rescue and raise much-needed funds for Salisbury Hospice.
The group will be cycling from Salisbury to Stonehenge and back again on Sunday 16th August. The route is just short of 30 miles, which for the group of novices is going to be quite the challenge! Not only will this be difficult, but they will be doing it in fancy dress, on tandems and other two-wheeled vehicles.
The hospice has been hit hard by COVID-19, with all it’s fundraising events being cancelled, which has had a determinantal impact on fundraising. Everyone that has come into contact with the hospice at some point for a relative, friend or loved one knows our pledge and what an incredible service it provides.
The tandems used in the ride have been donated by Salisbury’s Hayball Cycle Sport
