Salisbury City Council has announced that they have teamed up with France at Home to bring you a French Mini Market in Salisbury Market Place on Friday 25 September from 9am – 5pm.
The French traders, who are residents of the UK, will showcase a veritable tour de France of products for all tastes; whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
There will be delicious cheeses and charcuteries from all the French regions, the new harvest of onions and garlic from Brittany, irresistible crêpes and galettes (savoury buckwheat crêpes) from Normandy, and great wines from the Cote d’Azur.
There will be other fab stalls to visit offering a selection of goods and gift items including art prints, fragrant lavender, and Marseille soap from Provence and a range of music.
One trader of particular interest is Pascal Creach, the last of the “Onion Johnnies”, the traders from Brittany that sold onions door to door on their bicycles. His stall features much information about their history and he is always keen to tell you more! Find Pascal online at pascalonions.pagesperso-orange.fr
The French Mini Market will be COVID secure with social distancing measures in place.
