Salisbury residents will breathe a sigh of relief as the roadworks which have closed the A338 for the past 3 weeks have been completed.
During weekdays, a stretch of the A338 from the Harnham Junction to Britford has been closed all day and night. This has caused long traffic delays and large amounts of congestion through Odstock and Nunton in particular.
These works are now complete and the road has once again reopened to the public, removing the long diversion and the pressure on the small local roads many residents have used as an unofficial diversion route.
The short section of road being closed has been a nightmare for people going to work and parents on the school run.
