Tesco Amesbury’s Hampers for Heroes

Tesco in Amesbury has rewarded community heroes with a hamper.

Launched by their community champion Adele Ward, Hamper for Heroes have been awarded to local people who have gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Individuals were nominated by the community for amongst other things; making and setting up community mask trees, raising massive amounts of money for charities, and boosting morale.

There was a large number of nominations as the community got behind the scheme and five winners were chosen along with two runner-up gifts.

The nominees were all invited along to a socially distanced presentation at Tesco Amesbury on Friday 2nd October where the winners were presented with the personalised hampers by Cllr Rhod Evans, the Mayor of Amesbury.

The winners recognised for their community spirit were:

  • Naomi Betts, Abi Lunn & Sandra Henstridge
  • Tracey Johnson
  • Lisa & Mark Brindley
  • Victoria Marshall
  • Carole & Dicky Boast
