Salisbury Radio is proud to be partnering with our friends at ReQuire Consultancy in The Great Big Salisbury Christmas Toy Appeal.
The financial impact of Covid-19 has caused an unprecedented challenge for thousands of the most vulnerable low-income families, who have been particularly hard hit just before Christmas.
This year, perhaps more than ever, a gift from you would bring joy to a vulnerable child and help make their Christmas just that little bit brighter.
It’s really simple, and if we all come together we can make a real difference to a child’s Christmas and create some real Christmas magic throughout the City.
There are hundreds of children and families in South Wiltshire and West Hampshire facing a tough Christmas this year, and we want to help.
The Great Big Salisbury Christmas Toy Appeal will deliver sack loads of lovely Christmas presents to those families ahead of the big day this year, but to do that, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are working with the lovely people at St Paul’s Church who are actively collecting referrals for those families most in need.
All donations made will go to families and children who live in Salisbury, South Wiltshire and West Hampshire, Louise from ReQuire felt it was really important to give back to the local area:
Christmas is a really magical time and will have more importance than ever this year. However, sadly there are more people than ever that are really going to struggle. We really want to get the entire Salisbury community behind this so there isn’t a single child that goes without a present this Christmas
There are two ways you can donate to the appeal:
Firstly, you can order a toy online and have it delivered to Salisbury’s very own version of Santa’s little helpers at 1st Self Access Storage. They will keep hold of them until they are ready to be delivered.
Alternatively, you can make a donation to the toy fund through the crowdfunding page at – https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/salisburytoyappeal
Salisbury Radio is building an Advent Calendar as part of the appeal – in the days leading up to Christmas, we will reveal businesses and organisations who have made a pledge on-air, on the website and via the Social Media Channels. Debbie Edwards, Salisbury Radio’s Sales Director says:
We have had a fantastic response from the business community who are really getting behind this campaign. We still have a few days left on the calendar, but they are going fast. It’s fantastic that at this early stage of building this new radio station that we have become involved in such an amazing appeal.
Any local businesses who wish to support the campaign and have a window in the Advent Calendar should contact Salisbury Radio via email: email@example.com
