Salisbury FC and the other teams in the Southern Premier League have been informed of a potential date to resume football following this lockdown.
The dates are proposed on the assumption that the current lockdown period ends as announced on the 2nd of December.
With that in mind, league football at their level is expected to resume on the weekend of 12th December with the fixtures originally scheduled for those dates. The backlog of games that have been postponed will be reintroduced at a later date with attention paid to the difficulties midweek travel presents at this level.
Subject to final approval, the Buildbase FA Trophy games planned for early in December, including Salisbury FC’s tie against Bracknell Town, could be played as early as Tuesday 8th December. As soon as this date is confirmed, Salisbury FC will announce it on their website.
All of the above is subject to government approval and footballing authorities and the lockdown period ending as expected.
There has been no guidance to whether supporters will be able to attend league or cup games.
