Leisure Centres To Reopen At The End Of Lockdown

Wiltshire Council has confirmed that they’re planning to reopen all of their leisure centres on Thursday 3 December, following the planned end of the national lockdown on Wednesday 2 December. This includes; Five Rivers,  Amesbury Sports and Community Centre, and the new Calne Community Campus.

Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre in Salisbury will be open 7 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday with shorter times of 8 am to 3 pm on a Saturday and 8 am to 5 pm on a Sunday.

Swimming lessons will resume too and will continue as they were working prior to this lockdown period. This will mean that sessions will be on the same day and at the same time as they were before November lockdown. There will be a break in lessons for Christmas as normal, between Monday 21st December and Sunday 3rd January, with lessons restarting again on Monday 4th January.

Gymnastics at Five Rivers is similar and will restart in the same format as prior to this lockdown, also with a Christmas Break.

Wiltshire Council have produced a video about the centres reopening.
