Salisbury 6th Form College Brings New Post GCSE Options

Salisbury 6th Form College is bringing a range of new courses and educational options to Salisbury.

For the first time in the area, students will be able to study E-Sports as an option as well as the option for accelerated pathways for Business as well as Health and Social Care.

The Esports Course is designed to help students enter directly into the ESports Industry but also gives a route to University to continue studying. The Extended Diploma is the equivalent of studying three full A Levels so is a full programme of study. The course is a combination of video game development, esports coaching and business and marketing.

This exciting Accelerated Pathway in Health & Social Care offers the opportunity to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed for future work in the healthcare and education industries over two years. It will help you to develop essential skills for the world of Health and Social Care such as Safeguarding, Anatomy & Physiology, Infection Control, Equality & Diversity as well as numeracy, communication, teamwork and other transferable skills.

Accelerated Pathway in Business offers you the opportunity to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed for future work in business and industry over two years. It will help you to develop essential skills for the world of business such as finance, marketing, e-commerce, customer service, IT, numeracy, communication, teamwork and other transferable skills.

Steve Price, one of the Business teachers at the college talks about the importance of enterprise on the Business course:

With both the accelerated programmes there is The S6C Study Programme which also includes GCSE Maths and English retake if necessary, all supported by a strong tutorial programme.

All of the courses are offered on the Tolgate Road campus.
