December Area Board Grant Awards over £16,000 to Local Projects

At Decembers Salisbury Area Board last 10 projects received funding totalling £16,803.12.

The projects funded were:

  • Hampworth Croquet Club,
  • Five Rivers Indoor Bowls Club,
  • Devenish Bradshaw Trust,
  • Secret Spitfire Charity,
  • Any Body Can Cook,
  • Milford Street Bridge Project,
  • Alabare,
  • Macklin Road Residents Association,
  • Wiltshire Youth Futsal League and
  • Safer & Supportive Salisbury.

Milford Street Bridge Project applied for monies to update their website, reprinting flyers for their guided walks and plan to produce a film for school children. The Macklin Road Residents Association are to erect a plaque to commemorate the centenary of the Macklin Road Estate in Salisbury whilst Any Body Can Book are, in partnership, setting up a local pantry in Salisbury providing a community shop for people in low incomes.

In addition, Salisbury Museum was also confirmed as the preferred applicant to deliver a £5,000.00 Intergenerational project in the city.

With over £37,000.00 still in the budget, Salisbury Area Board invites other community groups and charities to come forward with their projects, and are especially keen to see more applicants apply for our youth funding, which is there to help provide positive activities for teenagers.
