Stolen Courier Van Found

A popular local courier has had his van stolen whilst making deliveries in Old Sarum last night (Thursday 17th December)

Duncan Sword who makes deliveries for Hermes was delivering parcels and packages in his red Vauxhall Combo van in Lanfranc Close on the Old Sarum estate when at around 7:10 pm his van was stolen.

Inside the van were 75 parcels yet to be delivered, many would have been Christmas presents due to be delivered to the local area.

Duncan is known to many in Salisbury as he makes lots of deliveries in the area, so much so that residents are banding together to support Duncan and his family at his time of need.

The van has now been found and recovered with its contents complete including Duncan’s wallet and keys.

Within hours a ‘gofundme’ page was set up to help get Duncan back on the road delivering ahead of Christmas. The gofundme collection has now been closed and all donations will be refunded.

The gofundme page had amassed over £2800 in just a few hours.
