Salisbury Hospice Charity has closed registrations for Christmas Tree Collections this year.
Due to overwhelming demand, they have had to refuse any further requests for Christmas trees to be collected and recycled as demand has outstripped capacity.
They issued a statement on their website:
Please note due to overwhelming demand we have closed tree registrations for 2021.
We hope you understand that the safety of our volunteers is paramount and we have to manage tree numbers in order to adhere to current government covid guidelines.
If you are one of the 1100 people who has registered a tree, please remember to leave it in your designated place by 9 am on Friday 8th January for collection.
Thank you for your support & Happy New Year.
Last year the Hospice Charity collected around 1000 trees helping them raise almost £13,000 of vital funds to help cover the running costs of the Hospice.
