A Salisbury Radio team of Matt Rogers, from breakfast, David Woollatt from evenings, Justin Edwards our man at the Ray Mac, and Andy Munns who talks a bit on a Sunday evening, are all taking on the shortest sponsored walks of their lives, just 15 feet!
Doesn’t sound like much of a challenge does it – until you throw 550-degree celsius hot coals on the 15ft pathway.
You can join Matt, David, Justin and Andy and become part of their team of daredevils to take on this challenge all in support of Salisbury Hospice Charity.
The firewalk takes place in front of the stunning backdrop of Salisbury Guildhall on the evening of Thursday 25th February 2021.
To enable you to complete this unique mind-over-matter challenge all fire walkers will undergo a one-hour training session from Scott Bell, the twice Guinness World Record holder for the ‘Greatest Fire Walking Distance’ by walking 328 feet on burning coals.
During this time you will be motivated and build the confidence to complete the challenge. Then, to the beat of the drum, it will be time for you to take up your fire walk.
Whether a fire walk is already on your bucket list or is something you’ve never considered doing before, Firewalking is an exhilarating way to challenge yourself to do something different and support Salisbury Hospice in its 40th anniversary year.
Registration is £30 per person and it’s asked that you raise a minimum of £150 in sponsorship.
