New Online Community Launched for Wiltshire Makers

Wiltshire Makers are encouraged to sign up to a new Community owned and managed by Wiltshire Makers CIC. The Wiltshire Makers Community is the latest project launched in April 2021 by the community interest company (CIC) that launched in November 2020. Following a successful 6 months of trading online with gift boxes showcasing Wiltshire Makers Products the not for profit CIC has now set upon its latest initiative to support local artisans from the County and neighbouring areas.

With support from Wiltshire Council’s Area Board with a grant to support new initiatives over the next 12 months, the Community is seeking Wiltshire Food & Drink Artisans, Artists, Crafters, Local Makers Groups and Event Organisers to sign up.

Director Terry Kemp said, “This is an exciting development on the Wiltshire Makers Journey. We have listened to Artisans and they have told us they would like a one stop shop for advice, networking and support, the added benefit of our online community is the chance to showcase to our many customers who purchase via our online shop already.”

With a planned live date for May 2021, the community has an introductory rate of £12.50 per annum which will allow a community member to have their own page on showcasing their products and linking across to their own online presence.

Other benefits will include showcasing and promotion as part of the wider Wiltshire Makers family, blog and email marketing promotions and early notifications about Wiltshire Makers Events and stallholder opportunities.

Terry added, “We are now planning 12 months of events and opportunities for our makers and will be giving our current Makers and Community first chance to get involved. This is a great opportunity to showcase the wonderful skills and fantastic produce we have here in Wiltshire and the immediate surrounding areas.”

To be a member of Wiltshire Makers Community or to take part in any of our events you MUST be a resident within the key catchment area of the County of Wiltshire and its borders or be intrinsically linked to the County with your product offer.
