The Stars Appeal is encouraging people to sign up for their ‘Walk for Wards Wherever You Are’ event on Sunday 4th July.
Participants are asked to walk 3km, 5km, 10km, or as far as they would like, at a location of their choosing and to get sponsored to help raise funds for Stars Appeal projects that support patients and NHS staff across Salisbury District Hospital.
Melissa Davies, Urology Surgeon and Stars Appeal Ambassador said: “Walk for Wards is our charity’s flagship event and after the success of last year’s Wherever You Are format we are again asking everyone to show their support for our hospital by organising their own sponsored walk. Funds raised by the walk will play a vital role in funding Stars Appeal projects that make such a difference to both our patients and our staff.”
All participants will receive a special certificate marking how much they have raised and there are special prizes for those raising over £100. You can sign up to take part at www.starsappeal.org
Participants are asked to follow any Government guidelines that may be in place at the time of their walk. The Walk for Wards normally takes place at Wilton House, home of Stars Appeal President The Earl of Pembroke, and plans are in place for the event to return there on Sunday 3rd July 2022.
