Work on your Fitness Goals with AFC Bournemouth in Salisbury

Wiltshire Council is launching a new free 12-week weight loss and fitness programme which is being delivered by Bournemouth Football Club in Salisbury.

The course begins Friday 22nd October 2021, running every week until the 21st January (no sessions over Christmas: 24th and 31st December) held at St. Martin’s C of E primary school, SP1 2QT from 6:30 to 8:00 pm with additional courses running next year.

The course is open to anyone living in Wiltshire, aged 35 or over, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or above.

What does the course involve?

The sessions involve exercises suitable for all, run by AFC Bournemouth and a half-hour interactive session with a health improvement coach, covering topics on nutrition, portion sizes, eating out, behaviour change and how to maintain healthy habits for life.

Participants will be supported to improve their diets, exercise safely and improve their overall health and wellbeing. It is an exciting opportunity for those who want to kickstart or continue their weight loss journey with a team focused on keeping exercise fun and providing the tools for healthy eating!
