  2. HALF-TIME Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

Given the almost identical start both these sides have made to the league campaign, it’s perhaps no surprise they have cannot be split.

Partick have had the better chance – a Cara Henderson header glanced just wide. They’ve also put the Well goal under a bit more pressure, but not created too much.

Kayla McDonald-Nguah is feeding off scraps up top for the visitors – but she’s known for producing moments of magic.

Up north, it’s half-time at Links Park too with Spartans leading 1-0 thanks to Caley Gibb’s goal.

  3. goal

    GOAL Montrose 0-1 Spartans

    Caley Gibb

    We have breakthrough up north!

Gibb gets the break of the ball in the box and sends the half volley into the bottom corner. Spartans have the lead!

  4. Post update

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

Thistle go close again! Cara Henderson won the ball back in the box and flashed a cross along the face of goal.

No takers but Imogen Longcake picked up and crossed back in, and Henderson’s glanced header went inches wide.

  5. Post update

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

Huge chance for Partick Thistle! Imogen Longcake burst down the left, fed the ball inside to Cara Henderson, who swivelled and found Lucy Sinclair.

Her touch around Ogilvie was superb, but Emily Mutch got out well and smothered the ball well.

  6. Post update

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

There’s not been many chances of note so far. Two evenly-matched sides cancelling each other out. Thistle are finding more joy down the right-hand side, with Claire Docherty doing well getting forward after her early introduction.

Still 0-0 up at Links Park between Montrose and Spartans.

  7. Post update

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

Partick Thistle having it slightly better in the early stages. Rebecca McGowan drilled one at goal, and Chelsie Watson has had to nod inches past her own post to deny the lurking Cara Henderson.

Can Thistle make the early pressure count?

  8. Black on Thistle aspirations and Lucy Sinclair

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

    Emma Black

Former Scotland international on BBC Sport Scotland

There’s no reason why you can’t grab fourth place. What Thistle are striving to do is be top six, but take points off the top three. That’s what all the clubs below the top three have aspirations to do. Thistle did fantastically well last season and no one expected them to be top six.

I’ve been so impressed with Lucy Sinclair since she’s come to Thistle, especially in that number 10 role. We saw her qualities at Hamilton, and now she’s made the decision to step up. She has a terrific relationship with Cara Henderson already.

  9. Early injury change

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

Not the start Brian Graham’s side needed. Emma Lawton went down really awkwardly, turning her ankle as a ball was played over the top.

She’s not going to be able to continue, and is replaced by Claire Docherty.

  10. KICK-OFF!

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Motherwell

And we are underway at Petershill!

Three out of the last four of these games have ended in draws – 1-1, 2-2, 3-3. Let’s hope we’re in for some goals.

Both sides are also sat on nine points after five games – both have wins over bottom sides Montrose and Hamilton Accies.

We are also underway at Links Park – we’ll bring you goal updates from that one.

  11. What happened to Celtic and City?

There were mixed fortunes for our sides in Europe yesterday – although both got off to winning starts through the week.

In City’s semi-final in Round 1 of Champions League qualifying, they flattered to deceive in a 2-0 win over Irish champions Shelbourne. However, in yesterday’s final against Lithuanians FC Gintra, they cantered to a 3-0 victory.

Fran Alonso’s side also went through to the final after an incredible win over Brondby, high above them in the UEFA rankings, thanks to a Kelly Clark goal.

But the final was a step too far and they lost to Valeregna on penalties, with keeper Kelsey Daugherty missing her penalty to crash out.

City now go through to Round Two of qualifying – a much harder task awaits.
